4. History of Criminality
People with a history of criminality and in particular
violent crime may hold attitudes condoning
violence including Domestic Violence.
5. History of concern regarding the children of
this family
Repeat referrals re: children. Children who are not
achieving academically, not able concentrate at
school. Children who evidence developmental
delay, regressive behaviours such as soiling when
toilet trained. Children who experience sleep
disturbance. Children who are aggressive, unable
to make or keep friends. (DVRAC)
Schools are beginning to roll out a specialist
project Operation Encompass which will provide
them with additional means of intervening to
support children who may be exposed to domestic
violence at home.
